The Campaign for Chanco

Over the past several years, we chose to invest our resources in programs. We have now reached a crossroads where we are being held back by the limitations of our facilities.

In October 2016, a campaign planning study was conducted. The data indicated the environment was right for Chanco to embark on a fundraising effort to meet the needs of its facilities.

Watch the video below to learn more about who we are and what we want to accomplish through this campaign.

Our Challenge

Addressing these issues will enable us to not only fulfill our mission but multiply our ministry impact.

Space limitations in the Dining Hall.
Lack of a meeting space large enough to fit entire retreat groups.
Lack of a central welcoming space.
Inadequate worship space aside from the bluff.

The Campaign for Chanco

$2,500,000
Our Goal

In order to move forward and create a more attractive, functional, and hospitable space, we as the Chanco Community need to invest a minimum of $2,500,000 into our facilities, which allow us to grow our programs.

Expanding and Improving the Dining Hall

The Dining Hall is a primary focal point of both our camp and retreat ministries where our guests build community by breaking bread together.

Renovating Flournoy Hall

The heart of retreat programming is in Flournoy Hall where retreat groups meet and worship.

Funding for Property Maintenance Endowment Fund

In order to be good stewards of both our current property and our intended expansion/additions, an endowed maintenance fund is essential to the longevity and future of Chanco.

Enhancing and Protecting Existing Facilities

To become more appealing to retreat guests, we will upgrade the interior of the bedrooms and meeting rooms in retreat lodges A, B, C, and D.
